When I was in the military, I was taught how to camouflage myself and my location so as not to become detected. It was a way to blend into the surrounding areas without the enemy noticing you were there.

 

This seems like it would be easy but it takes a lot of work and constant attention!  We learned how to camouflage ourselves in Texas when it was averaging 110 degrees each day. Every couple of hours you had to inspect your camouflage. The heat caused our face paint to run off and the shrubbery to wilt.

“Not all men seek rest and peace; some are born with the spirit of the storm in their blood.” Robert E. Howard

When I read this quote I always think about Teddy Roosevelt. He was a big believer in “the life of strenuous endeavor” or in other words having the Spirit of the Storm in your blood.

Mr. Roosevelt wrote 35 books, fought in the Spanish-American war, led two major scientific expeditions, and won the Nobel Peace Prize. Most notably he was the 26th president of the United States.
