Camouflage Productivity

When I was in the military, I was taught how to camouflage myself and my location so as not to become detected. It was a way to blend into the surrounding areas without the enemy noticing you were there.

This seems like it would be easy but it takes a lot of work and constant attention!  We learned how to camouflage ourselves in Texas when it was averaging 110 degrees each day. Every couple of hours you had to inspect your camouflage. The heat caused our face paint to run off and the shrubbery to wilt.

When your camouflage isn’t constantly maintained you will give yourself away and that’s when bad things start to happen!

I am no longer in the Military, but there seems to be a lot of camouflage happening in the workplace. It’s called Camouflaged Productivity or Fake Productivity!

We are spending huge amounts of our time and energy to disguise ourselves at the workplace in an attempt to look like we are being productive by using camouflage and deception.

The sad part of this type of life is that it takes so much more effort and energy to keep up the charade than it does to jump in and attack your work with zeal each day.

The reason we use deception and camouflage at work to disguise our lack of productivity is because we are following our feelings and not our Passion!

If your work is important to you, YOU will find a way to be productive but if not you will find an excuse!

We start looking for any reason to not be engaged at work.  Our excuses will lead us to become expert camouflage artists!

The only way to break the vicious cycle of wasting your days by constantly camouflaging your productivity is to follow your Passion. That means YOU have to stop waiting for the inspiration to come gift wrapped to you.

You have to Summon your Passion! Attack your work with energy and zeal every day regardless of how you feel. Do this consistently and you will start a fire deep down in your soul that will not be contained…That is Passion!

Find Your Passion and You Will Find Your Life!
