“Trying is lying. There is no such thing as trying. You do it or you don’t. You get results in life or you have excuses why you didn’t. When people say, ‘I’ll try,’ they usually mean, ‘I’m not going to do it now.’
— Dick Sutphen

When we choose to utter the words “I will try,” we have already decided to lie to ourselves, to the person we are talking to, AND we are planning for FAILURE!

I TRIED to lose weight for years and Failed.

I TRIED to eat a healthy for years and Failed.

I TRIED to exercise for years and Failed.

I TRIED to stop cursing for years and Failed.

I TRIED to write a weekly blog for years and Failed.

I TRIED Many things and Failed EVERY TIME!

Knowing you need to make a change is not enough.

Yoda said it this way: “Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try.”

The word “try” is such a disempowering word.

It is an excuse for you to fail in advance.

I used this word to try and please others because I was too afraid to tell them the truth.

Promising someone that you will “try” is a great way to lose credibility and hurt relationships.

It also becomes your biggest threat to your Destiny.

There are two things we must learn to do to cure ourselves of this mental crutch:

1.    Be honest with yourself and others. Tell people what you WILL do, not what you HOPE to do. People Pleasing is a sure way to crash and burn.

2.    Learn to say NO. This can be hard at first, but people will appreciate your honesty and for not stringing them along.

Stop Trying and Start DOING.

This will lead you to a powerful life filled with Purpose and Passion!
