The Medal of Honor is the United States military’s highest decoration.

It is given to any member of the United States armed forces who distinguishes themself “conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty.”

There are currently 80 living recipients and more than 3,520 Medals of Honor, including 19-second awards to the nation’s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen since the decoration’s creation in 1861.

I believe we are to live a life of Honor and that one day after taking our last breath we will hear these words: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things, enter into the joy of your master.” (Matthew 25:21)

These words declare you to be a Medal of Honor winner from your Creator because you went above and beyond the call of life’s duties and risked your life to a cause much bigger than yourself!

Honor is a matter of carrying out, acting, and living the values of respect, duty, loyalty, selfless service, integrity, and personal courage in everything you do.

It is critical to the success of your Family, Business, or Church.

People with honor share these characteristics:

Accept Personal Responsibility. Accept the consequences of your actions. What’s right isn’t as important as doing what’s right. Be prepared to travel this road alone at times.

Dedicate your Life to a Cause. This is your life’s Purpose & Passion. This will keep you grounded; give you direction, energy, and life of Meaning.

Love Loyalty. Honor God, Honor Family, and Honor People, Honor your word, Honor your work, Honor your Community and Country.  Hold yourself to a much higher standard.

Be Resilient. Work hard, sacrifice; contribute to others’ success, and Don’t Surrender!

Fox hole Family. Surround yourself with Honorable people and Mentors. Support each other. Choose wisely who you want in your Fox Hole…They have the power to Help or Hurt you.

Do as I DO. Choose to Do what’s Right NOT Easy! There is enough “Do as I say NOT as I do people.” Be the example, NOT the Excuse!

Follow The Code. You were created with a Purpose by a Creator that left you a road map to your Destiny…The Bible.   Stay the Course even when it’s not popular.

Being honorable does not mean never failing, making a mistake, or having moments of weakness or doubt.

Rather, being honorable simply means owning your failures and mistakes. Then making them right and right by the people we might have hurt.

What does living with honor worth to you?

Very few people who serve in the Military will ever receive the highest award that can be achieved…Medal of Honor Winners.

BUT You can achieve this award in your lifetime, from the Highest Authority, by living with Honor.

I long to hear the words: “Well Done Good & Faithful Servant.”

Find Your Passion…Find Your Life!
