There were a handful of times during an 8 year period of my life that I was arrested and or charged with a crime.
I had challenges with drugs, alcohol, fighting, threatening a superior, assault, and stealing.
These are things I am NOT proud of, BUT nor have I tried to sterilize or eliminate them from my past.
The Good, Bad, and Ugly of our Pasts are the fertilizer of our Futures.
We need to remember all the ugliness of our Past and use them as valuable lessons for ourselves and others.
The Tale of my 1st life, 8 years of living as an angry young man, has become my Memorial that I give tours to in the hopes of helping others.
It also helps me as I share this embarrassing part of my life so that I NEVER REPEAT THAT HISTORY!
My wife and I visited Auschwitz while stationed in Germany. This prison camp might be the example of the worst time in our Human History.
The camp is a permanent reminder to all of the atrocities inflicted on a people so that we NEVER REPEAT HISTORY!
We cannot eliminate this Camp because of its ugly reminder or because it hurts our feelings!
Every human, Family, Country, Color, and Creed has a Tale of Two Lives!
None of us are innocent. No Country, Color, or Creed is Innocent.
We ALL fall short of God’s Glory. We all have need of Redemption and Restoration.
At the age of 25 my life took a dramatic turn. This was the beginning of my 2nd Life!
You can look at my two lives and decide to judge me as guilty of my past deeds, and you would be correct.
Or you can look at the evil monuments that my past has and see them as Teachers that have a lesson we must continue to learn.
The Tale of my First Life is not pretty, but I have been able to help many others because of it.
We must stop trying to eliminate and sterilize our past and our Country’s past and start using them as Fertilizer for a better Future.
Forgive yourself. Forgive those who hurt you. Forgive what Countries have done in the past.
Forgive and be Free.
