Trigger Happy

I went shooting for the first time with some friends back in my high school days. They gave me a shotgun, and we decided to walk through the woods and shoot stuff.

A pheasant jumped out of the brush about 10 yards to my left, and before I thought about what I was doing, I swung towards it and fired.

The problem was one of my friends was standing on my left, and if he didn’t dive on the ground, he would not be here today.

I was Trigger Happy.

Basically, this means I was an ignorant fool!

We did not know anything about firearms, safety, lines of fire, wildlife, nor did I really care about any of these things.

I was selfish and looking for a reason to go off half-cocked (Trigger Happy).

This seems to be going on a lot in society today.

Too many people are looking for a reason to shoot stuff… To get offended or be Trigger Happy.

When we are Triggered/Offended by what someone says or does, we are recklessly advocating action that can result in other people getting hurt.

I am not talking about real trauma, depression, or PTSD.

A Trigger Happy lifestyle is someone who allows their feelings to Dominate their lives.

They believe they are a victim and become so addicted to shooting stuff (Trigger Happy).

We all must deal with offense, and we all have Triggers that can set us off.

Learning to deal with our Triggers is the key to living a life of peace.

Trigger-Happy people are always creating war or busy prolonging war…The Endless War Lifestyle!

Just because I do not agree with you or believe what you believe does not give me the right to shoot at you (Verbal attacks because I’m Triggered).

I gave up debating and arguing with people long ago because all it did was divide us further.

When we verbally attack people based on what they say, believe, or do, we become the Echo of their Ignorance.

Get your finger off the Trigger. Put the safety on your Mouth!

Stop looking for a reason to be offended, or you will ALWAYS find one and spend your life Shooting Stuff!

Find Your Passion…Find Your Life!
