Once upon a time, my hands were as soft as a baby’s bottom. I had Marshmallow hands!

Soft hands are a product of a soft life. A life devoid of hard physical labor does not build calluses on your palms.

That was before I started doing landscaping work and lifting free weights in high school.

Pushing a lawnmower and digging holes with a shovel all day, then coming home to work out using a metal bar cured me of Marshmallow hands.

Building calluses on my hands took a long time and caused some discomfort. At one point, I had three rows of calluses under each finger and large ones on each side of my palm.

My hands felt more like burlap than skin, but it allowed me to hold more weight and get stronger.

This is the same process you will need to go through with your mind. Most people are desperately trying to avoid the hard mental labor of pushing through the things that make us uncomfortable.

We have become Mental Marshmallows because we are so used to the easy way. We have become Prey and in this jungle the Weak Get Eaten!

Technology has made it even easier to be a Mental Marshmallow! It gives us a way out from having to build calluses on our brains.  Playing with our phones is just the distraction we need to quit!

Today we are urgently trying to avoid any kind of struggle, and to make matters much worse we are trying to make life EASY for our kids.

Somewhere along the line, we started believing we are entitled to a life of ease and comfort.

Avoiding the things that make us uncomfortable and those that we do not like only causes us to live as a victim.

To create Mental Mettle, you will have to take your thoughts by FORCE. You will have to MAKE your mind bend to your will!

Your Mind is the greatest asset you have and the one you spend the most time with.

Friends, Family, and Mentors will NEVER have as much influence over you as your mind will.

We build Mental Mettle the same way you build Calluses on your hand…Don’t Quit!

Consistently FORCE yourself to try again and again.

Each failure builds more calluses. Each time you get back up and go after your dreams, you get stronger.

A time will come, as you keep doing and getting back up, that you will be able to handle more of life’s weight.

The goal is to be a Mental Powerlifter. Someone who will not just survive life’s burdens BUT will Thrive in them!

The only purpose of a Marshmallow is to be roasted and consumed.

Don’t be a Marshmallow. Don’t be someone else’s dessert!

Find Your Passion…Find Your Life!
