One of the strategies of the Military is, whoever can Occupy the High Ground wins!

This means: a position of advantage or superiority. Once you have the High Ground, it gives you an advantage, and it becomes very difficult for an enemy to take you down.

How does this concept apply to everyday life? Not only does it apply but it is Critical to your success.

You and I will be faced with many decisions every day of our lives. Some will be very small, and others will be life-altering.

The key to making successful decisions will be based on where you make those decisions from: Low Ground or High Ground.

This does not mean we have to get up on the roof of our house or work to decide what’s next or how we respond to a situation.

The High Ground you must Occupy each day are: Your Thoughts, Character, Words, Actions, and Attitudes!

You will never have lasting success in your work, relationships, finances, health, and your mindset if you can’t Occupy the High Ground in each of them.

Stop and think about the thoughts you have about your spouse, peers, job, and yourself. Could you write these thoughts down and share them publicly?

We must take control over our thought life. You cannot allow negative thoughts to Occupy your mind. Once this happens, You’ve put yourself in a position of compromise.

You will Lose!

Thoughts become Words. Words become our Attitudes and Character. Those become our Actions.

To Occupy the High Ground means to violently overthrow the occupants who are there now.

The negative thoughts you have allowed to run rampant will NOT go easily. They have fortified the High Ground and want to stay.

Each negative Thought must be taken captive. You will have to do this every second of the day until you develop the right mindset.

Start by feeding your mind positive information. You are the director of the theater in your brain, so learn to change the script to one that Occupies the High Ground.
