As Summertime gets closer, we start thinking about vacations, time off, and hanging out at the beach. Those thoughts quickly turn to terror as we realize what we look like in a bathing suit!   It’s been a long winter, and some of us have lived like a hibernating bear.   For the next month or two, we kill ourselves at the gym and eat nothing but salads in the hope of transforming the cellulite into rips!   No matter how hard we try, the Mirror never lies. Those darn things are everywhere exposing our double chins and belly rolls!   We are so consumed with how we look and the shape of our bodies that we forget or never pay attention to the shape of our minds.   What if there was a mirror that exposed the condition your mind is in? I think it would scare the hell out of us! Would we see a pear-shaped versus a V-shaped mind, or have a six pack or keg shape for a brain?   It doesn’t take much to get your body out of shape, and the same thing happens to our brains.   The mirrors you can use to see what shape your mind is in are your attitude and energy. They will tell you everything you need to know about the condition of your brain.   A negative attitude shows up first in our words as complaining, whining, blaming, excuses and rationalizations. When we fill our lives with these, it’s like eating ice cream for every meal.   That might sound yummy but trust me it’s a sure way to die young!   The next step is the loss of energy. You become lethargic and lazy. Everything overwhelms you in life and as this self-destructive cycle continues your brain starts to atrophy the same way your muscles do when you don’t work them.   If you want that beach body for the summer, then start working your brain every day.  Once your mind goes your body will follow.                                                          Find Your Passion and You Will Find Your Life!
