I have Good News and Bad News for YOU.

The Bad News: You & I DO NOT deserve nor are we Entitled to ANYTHING!

The Good News: You & I DO NOT deserve nor are we Entitled to ANYTHING!

If the Bad News makes you angry then you have a Minimum Wage Mentality and life is going to be a GIANT Disappointment! The sooner we understand this simple statement the sooner we begin a life of adventure and prosperity!

Last week we talked about Minimum Wage and that it is ONLY a starting point not a life sentence!

You & I decide how long we stay at Minimum Wage before we accept RESPONSIBILITY for our lives.

I have been an employee for the last 37 years and an employer for the last 25 years of my life. In that time I have learned that employers are just as guilty as employees when it comes to the Minimum Wage Mentality. Some employers foolishly think that keeping employee’s making as little as possible will help their profits and it is doing just the opposite!

As an Employee it is MY responsibility to change this and NOT my Employer! The sooner you see this the sooner you can get free from this mentality. If you are working for a business that is cheating you or the customer than find a place that will respect and invest in you. There are PLENTY of good businesses that understand the value of a good team and they are looking for people like you!

Here are 15 steps to break Minimum Wage Mentality and Make MORE than you thought possible:

  1. Read a book a month – Biography, self-help, motivational or inspirational book.
  2. Turn off the TV for 30 minutes each day and LEARN – on-line courses, webinars or TED talks.
  3. Turn off the Radio in your car and listen to CD’s – Motivational or Inspirational.
  4. Start spending time with the most Passionate employee/employers you know.
  5. Stop IMITAITING poor people and start IMITAITING rich people.
  6. Make a decision to LOVE what you do – if you decided not to like it you can decide to like it!
  7. Stop your whining, complaining, excuses and blaming. Suck it up and accept Responsibility.
  8. Focus on what your company does well & Stop focusing and talking about what’s wrong.
  9. Be GRATEFUL for what you have. Write 3 things down every day.
  10. Find a Mentor: Choose wisely – NO Friends or Family.
  11. Use your time wisely; it is MORE valuable than money.
  12. Be the best worker your company has – Make it Rain!
  13. Volunteer to make your company better in an area you are passionate about.
  14. Get involved in your Community with a Board, non-profit, Church, Charity or Cause. Give Back!
  15. Learn Sales & Marketing even if your job does not call for it. They are the POWER Twins!

Bottom Line: STOP petitioning the Government, your boss, and the Tax Payer for what you think you deserve. ONLY YOU control what the Market Place will pay you. If you do not like what you are making then accept Responsibility and MAKE CHANGES.

Find Your Passion and You Will Find Your Life!
