IS PASSION NEEDED?
The answer to that question is based on how you answer two other questions:
1. What is passion?
2. How do I measure success?
These are important, so stop reading and answer the questions!
Let’s look at the possible answers to these questions.
What Passion is NOT: High energy drama people who run but have no visible purpose. An overly excitable cheerleader type whose mouth is always open and ears seemed to be closed. A person pursuing a product, service, business, job, power, prestige, popularity or money.
What Passion is: Someone who understands that his or her purpose is serving, helping and working with people. It is fuel to fulfill your purpose, an inner GPS and moral compass to guide you in the right direction. Passion is ALWAYS directed at PEOPLE!
How NOT to Measure Success: Money, power, popularity, prestige, the most toys, big homes and expensive cars. We can have all of this and still not have success!
How to Measure Success: Balance in the major areas of our lives (Spiritual, Relational, Emotional, Physical and Financial). Notice that Money is last in the order of importance – it’s important, but it’s the least important of all the key priorities in our lives.
Passion is a critical part of success because it keeps us focused on the ultimate priorities in our lives. We can make money, run businesses, become famous and important all without passion, but it will be at the expense of the most valuable issues and relationships, those that make life worth living.
Our lack of money can cause stress, but the lack of peace, contentment, joy and the knowledge that you are making a difference in people’s lives are non-negotiable to a successful life!
The best part of pursuing our passion is that suddenly all the other things we desire in life will start to pursue us!

Find your Passion and you will find your life!
